Irma Chantily

Irma Chantily lahir di Jakarta, 1985. Ia adalah penikmat fotografi, meski sama sekali bukan fotografer. Ia beberapa kali menulis tentang fotografi di media massa cetak dan online serta terlibat dalam produksi pameran foto atau seni rupa—baik sebagai kepala proyek, kurator, asisten kurator, penulis atau pun editor. Walau belum cukup sering atau pun mahir, Irma juga gemar melibatkan diri pada beberapa proyek penelitian fotografi Indonesia. Bersama dua rekannya, ia membuat sejarahfoto.com, sebuah inisiatif untuk mencoba memetakan sejarah fotografi Indonesia. Pada 2011, Irma bergabung dengan Komunitas Salihara dan satu tahun kemudian ia menjadi manajer arsip dan dokumentasi—sambil terkadang tetap memenuhi panggilan untuk menjadi pengajar lepas di Program Studi Fotografi, Institut Kesenian Jakarta.
Irma Chantily is connoisseur of photography, although she’s not really a photographer. She has been writing about photography both online and printed media, and also participated in photography and visual art exhibition―as of the head of the project, assistant curator, curator, author, and editor. Although she didn’t quite often nor adept, Irma is constantly dabble in some research project photography Indonesia. Along with two of her friends, she initiated www.sejarahfoto.com , an initiative who tries to map the history of photography indonesia. In 2011, Irma joined Komunitas Salihara. One year later, she became manager of archive and documentation while sometimes still fulfill the call to become a freelance lecturer for Photography study program, Institut Kesenian Jakarta.

Julia Sarisetiati

Julia Sarisetiati lahir di Jakarta, 1981. Setelah menamatkan pendidikan di Jurusan Fotografi di Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta, ia aktif terlibat dalam berbagai proyek seni di ruangrupa. Sejak 2008 hingga 2011, ia menjadi manajer ruangrupa, dan setelah itu tergabung dalam komite artistik RURU Corps (rurucorps.com), sebuah biro komunikasi visual yang didirikan oleh ruangrupa, Serrum, dan forum Lenteng. Di samping bekerja sebagai fotografer lepas dan berkarya dengan medium fotografi, ia kerap mengembangkan praktik artistiknya ke wilayah lain yang berpijak pada riset dan kolaborasi lintas disiplin. Pameran terakhir yang dikuratori olehnya adalah Sugar Town. Inc, sebuah proyek kerjasama antara ruangrupa dan Noorderlicht.
Julia Sarisetiati was born in Jakarta, 1981. After graduating her study at Department of Photography, Trisakti University, Jakarta, she has been involved in many art projects of ruangrupa. Since 2008 until 2011, she became the manager of ruangrupa.  After that, Sari joined RURU Corps (rurucorps.com ), a visual communication bureau established by ruangrupa,  Serrum, and Forum Lenteng, as Artistic Committee. She’s also a photographer and often makes  art using photo as the medium, and continues to develop her artistic practice to other fields of study, which based on research and multidiscipline collaboration. She recently became the curator for Sugar Town Inc., a collaboration between ruangrupa and Noorderlicht.

Rizki Lazuardi

Rizki Lazuardi lahir di Semarang, 1982. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikannya di Jurusan Komunikasi Massa, FISIP Universitas Diponegoro pada 2007. Di samping menyelesaikan studi formal tersebut, di tahun yang sama Rizki juga mendapatkan fellowship dari Yayasan Kelola, dan kemudian Berlinale Talent Campus for Visual Art di Jerman pada 2009. Selain bekerja untuk Goethe-Institute Jakarta, dirinya juga aktif terlibat baik sebagai kurator/programmer ataupun seniman dalam berbagai festival film-video di Indonesia dan luar negeri. Proyek terakhirnya adalah Dear Curator, Curate Me di Selasar Sunaryo Art Space Bandung pada awal 2013. Dalam proyek ini, Rizki mencoba mengkaji kembali pola hubungan yang jamak muncul dalam praktek kuratorial, pameran, dan pengarsipan karya video.
Rizki Lazuardi was born in Semarang, 1982. He finished his study on Department of Mass Communication, Diponegoro University on 2007. While completing the formal study, in the same year Rizki also received fellowship from Yayasan Kelola, and then Berlinale Talent Campus for Visual Art in Germany at 2009. Currently, beside working at Goethe-Institute Jakarta, he is also actively engaged either as curator/programmer or artist in various festival film-video in Indonesia and abroad. His recent project was Dear Curator Curate Me at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space Bandung, early 2013. In this project, Rizki was trying to reassess relationship pattern which appears in many  practice of curatorial, exhibition, and video archiving.

Ade Darmawan

Ade Darmawan lahir di Jakarta, 1974. Ia aktif berkarya dengan berbagai format, mulai dari instalasi, obyek, cetak digital, hingga seni rupa publik. Ade belajar di Insitut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, di Jurusan Seni Grafis. Pada tahun 1997, ia melangsungkan pameran tunggal pertamanya di Cemeti Contemporary Art Gallery. Setahun setelahnya, Ade menetap di Amsterdam, Belanda selama dua tahun mengikuti program residensi di Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten, Belanda. Pada 2000, bersama dengan lima orang seniman muda dari Jakarta, ia mendirikan ruangrupa, sebuah lembaga nirlaba yang fokus pada seni rupa dan kaitannya dengan konteks budaya sosial terutama dalam lingkungan perkotaan. Dari 2006 – 2009 ia menjadi anggota Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, dan pada 2009 ia menjadi Direktur Artistik Jakarta Biennale XIII-ARENA. Sekarang ia tinggal dan bergiat di Jakarta sebagai perupa, Direktur ruangrupa, dan Direktur Eksekutif Jakarta Biennale 2013.
Ade Darmawan was born in Jakarta, 1974. He has been actively working as visual artist with works range from installations, objects, digital print and public art. He studied at Indonesia Art Institute (I.S.I), in Graphic Art Department. A year after His first solo exhibition in 1997 at the Cemeti Contemporary Art Gallery, Yogyakarta (now Cemeti Art House), he stay in Amsterdam, Netherlands for two years residency at the Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten in Netherlands. In 2000, with five other artists from Jakarta he founded ruangrupa.  A non-profit organization, which focuses in visual arts and its relation with the social cultural context especially in urban environment. From 2006-2009 he was a member of Jakarta Arts Council, and in 2009 he became the artistic director of Jakarta Biennale XIII-ARENA. Now he lives and works in Jakarta as an artist, Director of ruangrupa, and Executive Director of Jakarta Biennale 2013.

M. Sigit Budi. S

M. Sigit Budi S. lahir di Jakarta pada 1983. Ia lulus dari Fakultas Seni Rupa, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Pada 2006, Sigit turut membidani lahirnya Serrum (serrum.org) sebuah komunitas seni rupa, yang membuat beberapa program seperti Propagraphic Movement and Project. Ia bergabung di ruangrupa sebagai Koordinator Pameran di RURU Gallery, Koordinator Artistik di Jakarta 32°C (Bienalle Pelajar dan Mahasiswa), dan bertindak sebagai Kurator di Grafis Huru-Hara. Pada 2008, ia menjadi finalis dari Indonesia Art Award serta mengikuti residensi di H.O.N.F Yogyakarta. Sigit menjadi Asisten Kurator pada Jakarta Biennale 2009, selain itu ia juga menjadi koordinator pameran untuk OK. Video Comedy dan mengikuti lokakarya penulisan seni rupa yang diselenggarakan oleh jarakpandang.net. Pada 2011, ia mengikuti residensi di Jatiwangi Art Factory (JAF) untuk karya videonya.
M. Sigit Budi S was born in Jakarta, 1983. He graduated in art major at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, and established an art community called Serrum (serrum.org ) in 2006 until now, with programs such as Propagraphic-Movement and Project_or. He later joined ruangrupa as Exhibition Coordinator for RURU Gallery, taking part in the Artistic Team for Jakarta 32°C (student’s biennale), as well as Curator for Grafis Huru-Hara (Print-making group from Jakarta). In 2008 he became finalist in Indonesia Art Award and did a residency at H.O.N.F Yogyakarta. Sigit became an Assistant Currator for Jakarta Biennale, Coordinator Exhibition for OK. Video COMEDY,  and join the writing visual art workshop for jarakpandang.net in 2009. In 2011, he did another residency at Jatiwangi Art Factory (2011) for his video works.

Solange Oliveira Farkas

Solange Oliveira Farkas adalah seorang kurator yang telah berkarir selama 25 tahun di dunia seni rupa Internasional. Ia merupakan penggagas International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil, serta menyelenggarakan berbagai pameran seni rupa yang cukup penting di Brasil dan sekitarnya. Antara 2007 dan 2010, ia menjabat sebagai Direktur dan Kurator Kepala dari Museum of Modern Art of Bahia. Pada 2004, Farkas mendapatkan penghargaan dari Sergio Motta Hors Concours Award. Ia juga menjadi salah satu anggota juri dari Nam June Paik Award di Jerman.
Solange Oliveira Farkas is an art curator with an international career spanning twenty-five years. She has created the International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil, a reference for the art production of the Southern regions od the world. She has also organized a number of important exhibitions both in Brazil and abroad. Between 2007 and 2010, she served as Director and Chief Curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia. Farkas is also winner of the Sergio Motta Hors Concours Award (2004), jury member for the Nam June Paik Award in Germany, board member at Escola São Paulo.

Arjon Dunnewind

Arjon Dunnewind, lahir di Ommen, Belanda, pada 1967. Menempuh pendidikan di Utrecht School of Arts. Pada 1988, ia menyelenggarakan Impakt Festival pertama dan pada 1993 dia mendirikan Impakt Foundation. Sepanjang 1990-an, menjadi kurator serta menyelenggarakan program dan presentasi bagi seniman dan pembuat film internasional, proyek yang nantinya berkembang menjadi Impakt Event. Dari 1994 sampai 1997, ia menjadi produser KabelKunst dan Vizir, dua seri televisi tentang seni video dan film eksperimental. Pada 2000, ia memulai program Impakt Online,  sebuah proyek yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan internet sebagai platform dalam mempresentasikan siaran video dan proyek seni interaktif. Pada 2005 ia membuat Impakt Works yang memfasilitasi seniman dengan medium video, media digital, dan teknologi baru untuk membuat karya-karya baru. Arjon juga bekerja sebagai penasihat untuk beberapa organisasi kesenian seperti, The Dutch Film Fund, The Dutch Mediafonds & Fonds BKVB. Ia juga secara rutin memberikan kuliah tamu di beberapa akademi dan universitas seni serta berpartisipasi sebagai juri dalam berbagai festival dan kompetisi seni.
Arjon Dunnewind born in Ommen, The Netherlands, 1967. Studied at the Utrecht School of Arts. In 1988 he was co-organizer of the first Impakt Festival and in 1993 he established the Impakt Foundation. In the 1990’s he curated and organized presentations and touring programs for international artists and filmmakers, projects that would develop into the Impakt Events and become a regular part in the Impakt Foundations program. From 1994 till 1997 he produced KabelKunst and Vizir, two TV-series about video art and experimental film. In the early 2000’s he started Impakt Online, a project aimed at developing the internet as a platform for the presentation of interactive art projects and streaming video. In 2005 he started a residency programme called Impakt Works where international artists working with video, digital media and new technologies are supported and facilitated to make new work. He worked as an Advisor for the Dutch Film Fund, department Research & Development, from 1996 until 2000 and for the Dutch Mediafonds & Fonds BKVB, department Innovative Music Video, from 2009 to 2012. He regularly gives guest lectures at art academies and universities and participates in juries for festivals and art-prizes.

Kristi Maya Dewi Monfries

Kristi Maya Dewi Mofries berasal dari Melbourne, Australia yang saat ini tinggal di Yogyakarta. Ia adalah kurator independen untuk seni rupa, musik eksperimental dan film. Gelar Bachelor of Arts dibidang fotografi didapat di Grad Dip dalam Media Studies, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. Dia telah menjadi kurator sejumlah pameran internasional di antaranya Contemporary Photography from Indonesia: Mes 56, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne, Australia; Piece by Piece, ROOM Galerij, Rotterdam, Belanda; Southern: A Show of 10 Australian Artists, HOME Gallery, Prague, Republik Ceko; Out of the Vault, pemutaran film 16mm dari arsip film ACMI, Clubs Projects, Melbourne, Australia; dan Tropis///Subsonics Festival, festival musik eksperimental, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

She has a BA in Photography and a Grad Dip in Media Studies majoring in video from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
