E-Ruqyah
02’08” (2013)

Through performance, E-Ruqyah video shows an activity, rubbing a cell phone that plays holy Holy Quran verses to the body. In Islam, Ruqyah means an exorcism practice or take the negative energy that is believed can cause health problems. This process usually was done with reading holy Quran verses. When a Circle Meets The Sky
06’45” (2012)

When The Circle Meets The Sky is a video projection which featuring footage of the sky intersect with a picture of Mojave dessert landscape in a circle. Although looks different, this juxtaposition presents a facing interconnected space. The picture in a circle is a mirror reflecting field across the sky. Charla Chan’s video is recorded with propeller installation on each end holds camera and mirror, and it moves depend on the dessert wind. Behind this formalist-like-video, the making-devices and her intention making this project is an effort to create complex relation with nature, technology, and human-existence representation, without using kinetic help from human.

Carla Chan Ho-Choi is a young media artist based in Hong Kong where she completed her bachelor degree from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. Recently her work was selected in Hong Kong Contemporary Art Awards 2012. Carla is working in a variety of media like video, installation, photography and interactive media. Return
Installation (2013)

Filmnya masuk dalam festival “Re Wizje invasion of the Independent Art” d Warsawa.

This is what happens when the findings object was regarded as a builder material for fixed artwork then it was purposed as a product of consumption with its functions can be initially purchased, assembled, then rated with art value and the last, eventually dismantled. The whole process was recorded with video format and accompanied by legal document artifacts. Economic conventions already in contact with art long before a work of art is created and had trading value as collectible products. The artist, firstly, must deal with the receipt of purchase at material store, before dealt with a certificate in commercial galleries or auction houses. In Return, the artist used several conventions such as trade regulation of consumer rights to create a form of artwork that becomes more fluid literally. At least Marek is able to deceive the trade of product consumption after Mazek returning the product when the artwork was ended.
