Museum of Information was built by President Soeharto in 1993 to mark the glory of New Order regime. This museum holds a collection of archives that record the history of information from the time of national movement to the modern time. Unlike Museum of Telecommunication that exposes the history of telecommunication and information from the perspective of science, the Museum of Information emphasizes on the use of information and telecommunication technology in films, television, radio and mass media as a tool for public information. It also puts a spotlight on the history of its key persons.

Sambung Rasa is an attempt to re-activate the collections of Soeharto’s presidential speeches and the Ministry of Information archives under Harmoko era. This interactive creation invites the audiences to re-establish some of speeches, remarks, briefings and selected lectures. It plays around with the ownership of sounds and languages and also underlines the capacity as propagandist. This invention works among knowledge, memories and fantasies on becoming a propagandist.

Farid Aditama Rakun believes that time
and space are raw elements that could continuously be
reinvented. He also believes that people are user, not
just spectators, of their works. In 2015, Farid established
a non-disciplinary studio Biro Arsitek. They use
architecture as the baseline of their arts, with patterns of
collaborative and collective practices. Biro Arsitek wants
to celebrate architecture as a discipline, not just an
occupation that exists only to serve the market.
