The New Order regime was always identical with its militarism spirit, which had penetrated into almost all areas of the society’s socio-political life. Nevertheless, the spirit had never reached artistic creations’ territory. This might be identified as one of the missions of the movement on boasting the New Order. The regime had destroyed the buildings or symbols of Soekarno’s splendor, as it changed the majestic symbols by dwarfing the buildings or the actual symbol in the form of a more narrative diorama on the history of the nation’s struggle. But then again, aesthetic breakthroughs had never been considered important during the time. The New Order had almost been careless with aesthetics.

Stabilizer tries to respond to the idea of the present power concept as a representative concept. The idea is to mimic the New Order’s methods in creating relief as similar to the regime’s monuments. Reza is to make a relief collaged from the illustrations or the imageries he had found. He is trying to discuss the issue of national stability, which had always been the basis of New Order’s gestures in silencing differences. Reza tries to establish a mini-propaganda representation by using cotton as its media.
